Stand with your feet together and back straight, and measure your body at the following three points:

• BUST LINE: Along the nipple line when wearing your filled bra (This is the number portion of a bra size — for example, a 38D bra means a 38-inch chest band with D-size cups)

• WAIST LINE: One inch above your navel, or at the narrowest part of your waist if you have a bit of curve there

• HIP MEASUREMENT: At the widest point of your hips

Keep the tape flat against your body, and don’t be tempted to tighten it too much or fudge the numbers — accurate measurements mean sexier clothes! After you’ve written down your results, check your numbers against the size charts at online clothing stores.
